Saddle up for a one-of-a-kind adventure with Mountain Rose Farm at Living Roots Wine & Co!

You’ll start with a leisurely, guided horseback ride through our family’s stunning Shale Creek Vineyard, with its expansive views of Keuka Lake and a diverse trail covering both rows of grape vines and the surrounding forest. Then, head into the Living Roots tasting room for a wine tasting to perfectly cap the day’s ride. Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian or a first-time rider, this experience promises relaxation, exploration, and delicious sips.

All riders must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes [preferably boots with a small heel]. Additionally, each rider must sign a waiver and be fitted for a helmet [required], followed by a short horsemanship lesson to learn what your horse expects and what you can expect from your horse. We will then head out on the 35-minute ride. Height and weight is required from all riders as we have a 215 lb. with limit. Riders must not consume any alcohol before the ride, and we reserve the right to refuse a ride to anyone. Limit four riders per ride; all riders must be 21 or older.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled ride to ensure you have adequate time to get settled.
